FAQs

So many questions. So few answers. But alas...
Question

You're married?!

Answer

Yep! On September 16th, we headed down to the Shenandoah (one of our very favorite places on earth) to seal the deal. It was just the two of us amongst many trees and some waterfalls. We had hoped to get married in front of our friends + family, but the pandemic threw a wrench in those plans. Not wanting to wait, this seemed like the next best option.

Question

Why Shenandoah?

Answer

Philip spent his high school years looking out across the Shenandoah Mountains. He has taken many family members + college kids (at all hours of the day and night!) hiking in the Shenandoah. We've taken many trips down there to hike, camp, go on farm tours, sell pickles, drink beer + see friends. This last trip may have been the most epic one yet :)

Question

What was your original wedding date?

Answer

We planned to get married on September 5, 2020 at the National Arboretum. All you fine folks were set to receive Save the Dates in March, but then a global pandemic broke out and, well, you know the drill.

Question

Are you rescheduling your wedding?

Answer

We had picked out a spring 2021 date but...With so much uncertainty, we decided to cancel our National Arboretum wedding. Instead, we're thinking up a way to celebrate with friends + family in the future. Promise to keep you updated!

Question

What about a bridal shower?

Answer

The traditional wedding timeline has been turned on its head-- so, we're just going with it. Our friends may do a belated shower when we find a home to settle down.

Question

What's next?

Answer

We've both stepped back from the business. We bought a teardrop trailer and plan to travel the country in 2021! Our first goal is to hike, bike, paddle and climb 1000 miles.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Not now! We're holding off on nesting until we're a bit more settled. We do have a cash registry through this website or can receive cards at our parents' homes.

Question

What is a Rogerts?

Answer

Rogers + Roberts = Rogerts
