The Columbia River gorge is a spectacular river canyon, 80 miles long and up to 4,000 feet deep, that meanders past cliffs, spires, and ridges set against nearby peaks of the PNW’s Cascade Mountain Range. Get lost on its many trails and waterways such as Eagle Creek, Hamilton Mountain, Multnomah Falls Loop, Beacon Rock, Dog Mountain, and Wahclella Falls.
Just an hour east of Portland, Mount Hood is Oregon’s tallest peak as a member of the Cascade Mountains. Mt. Hood reaches roughly 11,250 feet (3,430 meters) above sea-level and was once an active volcano. There is plenty of hiking, paddle boarding, camping, and salmon fishing around the Mt. Hood Wilderness area
