Max and I both graduated from Indiana University, but, somehow, our paths never crossed during the course of our time at school. He graduated in 2015, while I finished in 2017. Coincidentally, we both returned to Texas after graduation, and as luck would have it, I decided to move to Dallas for work. Later that year, Max and I first met. Here’s how it happened: I started spending time with a sorority sister of mine who happened to be Max’s younger sister, Rachel. I attended Chanon family gatherings and high-holiday services. They soon became my home away from home. During that time, Max and I grew closer, and we began dating in early 2019. Throughout our 2.5 year relationship, we have embarked upon countless adventures, including traveling to both coasts, taking road trips, and attending sporting events. Adopting each other’s home teams wasn’t easy, but I quickly learned the Cowboys were a way of life I would have to embrace. Max and I just click. We both love trays that overflow with sushi; we both adore spoiling our nieces and nephews; we both enjoy cozy, lazy nights at home, ordering dinner in and lounging on the couch with a glass (or two) of rosé. Whatever we’re doing, it’s fun, and we’re so lucky to be doing it together. For those who don’t know, the date of our wedding is significant to us. I was born on June 22nd, 1995, and Max was born on December 22nd, 1992. Independent of one another, our favorite number has always been 22. When picking our wedding date, we saw 10.22.22 on the calendar and knew that had to be it. Max and I share many intricate connections between friends and families. When all added together, we feel that our bond truly is B’sheret (which means ‘fate’ in Yiddish). We cannot wait to celebrate and are grateful to be sharing our special day with you!
