We met on December 31st, 2019 at a mutual friend's New Year's Eve party. Caitlin spent the night trying to get Maxx's number, and after hanging out for hours, she was successful. Despite living 3.5 hours away from each other, Maxx asked Caitlin on a date and the rest is history.

Caitlin woke up that morning with no idea how special that day would be. She had anticipated a proposal soon, but did not expect to be surprised. Maxx found a way to make a surprise happen and planned a whole day with Caitlin's best friend, Emily. Maxx snuck out and Emily showed up at their apartment with a letter from Maxx. Caitlin got ready, cried a lot of happy tears, and spent the day going to different places finding more letters from Maxx. After an amazing day, Emily brought Caitlin to where Maxx was waiting and he proposed. She said "yes" and jumped for joy (literally)!
