Latest COVID guidelines
Ireland has updated its COVID guidelines recently. You will not have to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test to enter Ireland. All people entering Ireland must fill out a Passenger Locator Form prior to entering. It is an online form, click the "VIEW" button at the bottom of this page. Upon return to US, you will need to provide a negative test within 24 hours of your flight. See below links for additional information. Both Dublin and Shannon airports are offering same day testing. Airports are offering rapid PCR tests that result in 1-3 hours for 89 euro.
