Kevin McKechney
Officiant
Kevin McKechney, Caitlin's baby brother, is also ordained by the internet... er, I mean, the Universal Life Church to officiate this sacred ceremony! As you can tell by this photo, Kevin really believes in our union and is thrilled to be joining us in holy matrimony! Kevin jumped at the chance to officiate this ceremony and we are so honored he's taken on this task! Kevin is a talented actor and creator, traveler and adventurer, who will be coming to officiate our wedding after spending the summer traveling all over South Asia as an Adventures Cross Country guide. He is a National Mascot Champion from his days at CU Boulder where he was Chip the Buffalo. No, he will not be dressed as Chip to officiate our wedding.
Conor McKechney
Bridesman
Conor is Caitlin's middle brother, who the McKechney siblings have always blamed for stealing all of the athletic genes allocated to our family. Conor kicks butt at golf, hockey, bowling, ski-ball ... basically any sport he gets his hands on! Caitlin was always resigned to this, since music was really her thing, but then Conor decided to take up guitar and basically eclipsed her in that too! But, really, Conor is a super talented, fun and funny guy, and a wonderful brother and friend! Conor lives in Del Ray Beach, Florida in his adorable new house where he works at a sweet hotel and makes us all regret choosing to live up north. He also has a bunch of super awesome tattoos. His picture here is from when he and Kevin (see “officiant”) rafted the Grand Canyon!
Patrick McKechney
Bridesman
Patrick McKechney was the first brother born after Caitlin. Caitlin may have been a little threatened that her reign as one-and-only princess of the family was being encroached upon... and thank God Patrick still speaks to her after she tormented him throughout their childhood! (Sorry, Pat! Still trying to make up for it!) Especially since moving to NYC, Caitlin has been so grateful to have Patrick around... there's nothing like family! Patrick is a fantastic artist and works in textile design where he draws incredible patterns for Hawaiian shirts and swimsuits. He is also an incredible sculptor and his portraiture is unique and expressive, as you can tell by the Save The Date for our wedding, which features Patrick's drawing of us!
Athina Tsamis
Groomswoman
Athina is Manos's FAVORITE (ok, his only) sister! She's coming from Athens, Greece to be a part of our special day and this will be her first visit to Chicagoland! Athina is so cool that rides around Athens on a motorbike and lifts weights that we're pretty sure are bigger than she is! When she is not working at her job at the pharmacy, Athina loves doing yoga on the beach! Also, Caitlin is not the only singer in this wedding party.... Athina is also a FANTASTIC singer and recently stepped on stage with a Bouzouki band in Athens and blew everyone away with her incredibly powerful voice! Before Caitlin ever met Manos, much less his sister, she named her cat Athena! Caitlin is excited to finally introduce Athina to her inadvertent feline namesake.
John Maguire
Groomsman
John Maguire (also known as the pterodactyl) is Manos's dear friend from graduate school and his time in the UK. Even though Manos has moved to the states and John has moved back to his native Ireland, these guys are still thick as thieves! John also has a PhD in "Eyeball Science" and lives and works in Dublin, which makes Kevin McKechney INCREDIBLY jealous! John is from County Cork, where is where both sides of the McKechney siblings' family tree are from, so we basically assume that John is some sort of cousin. Maybe 7 times removed, but who cares! Therefore John is here not only as Manos's friend, but as family! John is married to the beautiful Fiona and is dad to Hannah!
