Kyle and I met in November of 2014, we were both in college at Kennesaw State University. What started out as a normal evening hanging out with friends at the Delta Chi fraternity house turned into a long night of Kyle and I getting to know each other while sitting at Kennestone Hospital. What a first date, right? A friend of ours was goofing around and picked Kyle up on his shoulders, Kyle fell backwards into the corner of a wall and split his head open. I took one look at his head wound and knew he needed to go to the emergency room. We sat there in the ER and talked for hours and finally the nurse came in and gave Kyle staples. Trying to impress me with his bravery, Kyle declined numbing his head before getting the staples. Anyone who knows me knows how queasy I am, so I left the room while he got the staples. It wasn't until years later that I found out he was trying to impress me that night and was disappointed when I left the room. We ended the night by going to Waffle House before going home and getting a few hours of sleep before we both had to be up early for work the following morning. The next day I checked in on my patient to make sure he made it through the night and he asked me out on a date, to which I said yes. We had our first real date that week at Steak 'n Shake and the rest is history! We have spent many years together making wonderful memories together and I cannot wait to see what adventures we have next. We are so excited to celebrate our love with y'all on October 16th!!
