Getting to Pienza

The easiest airports to fly in/out are Rome (FCO) or Florence (FLR). The closets train station to Pienza is Chiusi. Chiusi to Pienza is approximately a 40 minute drive (Pienza does not have a train station). If you rent a car in Rome or Florence, drive time to Pienza is approximately a 2-1/2 drive from Rome and approx. 1-1/2 hours from Florence. Another option is to take a train from either airport to Chiusi. You can rent a car in Chiusi (they are closed on Sundays). If you do not rent a car, we will provide transportation from Chiusi to Pienza. Transportation will be provided to all the events from Pienza.

Hotel San Gregorio is walking distance to the city center of Pienza, and one mile from Villa Pienza (wedding reception location). We secured a block of suite rooms from Saturday, June 10 - Thursday, June 15. Cost is €145/night. Rooms are being held until Jan. 31. All reservations after Jan. 31 will be based on availability. To reserve a room, please send an email to: info@hotelsangregorio.it. Note that you want to book under the Galvin wedding group, and how many nights you want to book. We suggest you request 4 or 5 nights. You can change your arrival/departure dates after you finalize your plans without penalty. A credit card will hold your room. Your card will not be charged until 10 days prior to arrival. There are also other options for lodging.
