Travel

Flights: You can fly to Cape Town International Airport (CPT) nonstop from Newark on United (IAD, ATL, JFK and other airports also offer direct flights). Round trip nonstop flights range widely and I am working on negotiating a group rate with United.
Car rental: You do not need to rent a car. Uber is widely available, but if you are interested in exploring further afield an automatic vehicle will cost about $200-$350/week (keep in mind South Africans drive on the left).
Accommodation: Cape Town is a small, easily walkable city, but with so much to do in surrounding areas it's easy to get spread out. We recommend deciding what things are most important to you (wine country? busy nightlife? the beach?) then look for nearby accommodation to minimize travel time. You can find nice, safe accommodation with beautiful views for $50-$100 per night (and plenty of good finds for less!). When you are ready to book accommodation, we are happy to help you find something suitable.
