What is "Texas Cocktail" attire?

Answer

"Texas Cocktail" is just regular cocktail, but with boots & hats encouraged (but not required). We'll be two-stepping at the reception, after all! Don't own any of those items? No worries at all -- your standard cocktail attire will fit right in! If you want to lean into the Texas flair but don't know where to start? College Station has a Cavender's Boot City and a Boot Barn for all your western needs, or look at Lucchese Bootmaker and Catalena Hatters (in neighboring Bryan, TX) is a more upscale experience. For Men: A suit with or without a tie, slacks and a dress shirt, or a sport coat! "Texas" up the outfit with a pair of cowboy boots (or chelsea boots), a felt hat, a pearl snap button down shirt, or a bolo tie! For Women: Your standard cocktail attire -- any dress length is appropriate! "Texas" up the look with some turquoise jewelry, a leather flair, boots or booties, or block heel or wedges. Wear whatever is comfortable to dance in!

All of our invitations are addressed by name, and only those listed are invited.

Are my kids invited? Will I be able to bring them to the reception?

Answer

All of our invitations are addressed by name, and we welcome those kiddos to attend every part of the day! This is DEFINITELY a child-friendly wedding - we love kids! While not nearly finalized, we hope to have a childcare option (such as an on-site babysitter) for those young kiddos who will need to nap during the reception.
