They locked eyes on New Years Eve as Flav started to do some of his signature dance moves and Cait chowed down on some buffalo chicken dip and her grandma's favorite cookie recipe. As the night progressed, Flav learned that Cait loved Marvel movies and Cait learned Flav somehow never stops dancing. He promised he would come back the next day to take her on a date. She was pretty sure he was going to bail but he pulled up in his sweet ride of a Volkswagen and swept her off into the streets of Detroit for their first official date. After she flew back to California, he promised her he would come visit for her birthday weekend in March. They talked every day and learned two months sure does go by slowly when you have something to look forward to. This prompted Flav to book a plane ticket to be there at the beginning of February. They hiked the Redwoods and its been nonstop adventuring ever since!
After cancelling multiple trips and adventures, 2020 was looking bleak. Flav and Cait had been trapped in their tiny 2 bedroom apartment, working from home as Cait watched approximately 10 different seasons of 90 Day Fiance. They were both losing their minds (there are only so many puzzles and dance videos you can do before you are clinically insane but thank God for TikTok) but looking forward to being in Myrtle Beach for the yearly Florek Fourth of July Festivities with their families. COVID-19 couldn't stop them from celebrating the birth of America! They were dressed in their finest American garb as Flav hands Cait their new puppers, Luna, and says she has a tick. Cait's first thought is that they are terrible parents because that would be Luna's third tick in three months. As Flav went "to grab tweezers," he pulled out the ring and got down on one knee and asked Cait to marry him. Now they can't wait to celebrate this next adventure with you!
