Going to mass for the first time and not being Catholic can be overwhelming, and that's okay! Just follow someone else's lead. During communion, however, if you are not Catholic, we politely ask that you participate in communion by walking up to the priest with everyone, but form an X with you arms over your chest. In this way, you will receive a blessing. When the Host is exposed, it is also respectful to kneel, but if you cannot, that is okay. Leaning towards the pew in front of you is also acceptable.
Absolutely! I'm glad you asked! Honestly, we don't know what we need until we need them, so anything adults need is greatly appreciated. Cooking and baking ware is wonderful! And stuff to make our home homey. We are registered at Target!
We are considering this to be formal! But don't go all out! Just look nice and wear your dancing shoes.
Sure! But if you're bringing a little one, give us a heads up.
Unless otherwise specified on your invitation (i.e. "and guess"), we politely ask that you do not bring a date.
We ask that you do not take pictures during the actual ceremony. We have a very talented photographer, so please allow her to do what she does so well! However, before and especially after, take as many pictures as you like and PLEASE send them to us!
We are registered both at Zola (here) and at Target! Although, most everything we really want is at Target!
