We met at my (Caitlin's) first day of work at Waraji. Don was supposed to train me on how to be a hostess. While he did train me on how to do the job, he also babbled on incessantly about space, surfing, pre-2000's movies, and how to bake the perfect pie. I remember thinking 'what a cute nerd'. The day we met was also Don's 25th birthday. As we waved goodbye to each other at the end of the night, I turned to him and yelled, "Meeting me was the best birthday gift you could ever get!" I was right.
