Snaefellsnes Peninsula
This peninsula is located 3 hours away from the cottages but is well worth the drive if you're willing to wake up early. Snaefellsnes Peninsula is referred to as "Mini Iceland" as it has so many things to offer. The blog below provides some insight on what to see. The photo at the bottom of our home page is located on this peninsula as well.
Black Beaches
Black beaches are made from volcanic ash and are located along Iceland's coast. Pictured is Reynisfjara Beach located 2 hours from the cottages.

Hot Springs
Iceland has many hot springs to offer so bring your swimsuit! Pictured above is the Blue Lagoon, but there is also many natural hot springs located around the country.
The Golden Circle
Minniborgir Cottages is located right next to the Golden Circle. You may drive the circle yourself or take tours around it, stopping at many landmarks along the way. The drive itself takes 3 hours to go all the way around, not including stops.
