For those willing to venture further from the hotel into downtown Richmond is a walkable strip full of boutiques, vintage shops, and local eats. Great pre-wedding browsing and lunch spot.

Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

One of the best free museums in the U.S. Beautiful sculpture garden outside and large lawn space. Easy way to spend 1–2 hours wandering.

Maymont

Located 20 minutes from Short Pump is a gorgeous historic estate and gardens with river views. The property has a Japanese garden and Italian garden. October is peak foliage making this is a top-tier photo/walk spot.
