Is there a dress code?

Our wedding attire is semi-formal. Vibrant colors and floral prints are encouraged, we hope you embrace The Garden esthetic and the start of summer with us!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The venue opens to guests at 4:00PM and the ceremony will start promptly at 4:30PM.

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?
Answer
The ceremony and reception are both located at The Garden at The Hops. Transportation information is available under the "Travel" section if you are choosing to stay at the hotel accommodation. If you are driving yourself, the upper parking lot, located at 43 Marshal Lane, Derby is closest to the venue and allows overnight parking. Additional parking is available in their main lot, located at 77 Sodom Lane, Derby.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place outdoors at The Garden at The Hops. The reception is under a tent and there is access to an indoor space where the main bar and restrooms are located.

Do you have a hotel block for guests?
Answer
Yes! We have a block of rooms reserved at the Courtyard Shelton, located at 780 Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton. Booking within the room block is available until May 28th, 2025. Discount Code - Doyle-Caprio. Please refer to the "Travel" section for more information.
Question
Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel for the wedding events?
Answer
If you are choosing to stay at the hotel accommodation, a bus will be available for you to take from the Courtyard Shelton to The Garden at The Hops and back. The bus will leave promptly at 3:45PM to go to the ceremony and will return back to the hotel at 10:00PM following the reception.

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us!
