Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are saying "semi-formal": slacks, ties, jackets, suits, gowns and dresses. It will get cold so dress accordingly. Get your cowboy boots and hats ready! Feel free to bring anything to change into or have layers. If you’re wearing cowboy boots you could wear a light pair of socks during the day and then some warm wool socks for the evening. We are inspired by the natural colors of Big Cottonwood Canyon in the Fall. Caitlin loves color and florals. Brett says "smoking jackets and bolo ties encouraged". Think Vermont Fall meets Utah Cowboy ;)

Question

What is the weather going to be like?

Answer

Spruces Campground is at an elevation of 7,500 feet. Average monthly temperature for September in Big Cottonwood Canyon is high; 67 degrees F, low; 49 degrees F. Once the sun goes down the temperature will drop quickly. It will absolutely get chilly chilly! Please be prepared :)

Question

Are my kids invited?

Answer

Unfortunately we have reached max capacity for our day-use site at Spruces. The kiddos get to have a fun time at home with a babysitter :)

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Invitations are addressed to everyone who is invited. If it was just your name on the invitation, you do not get a plus one. We are at max capacity :)

Question

Can my dog come along?

Answer

That's a no for me, dog.

Question

Where exactly is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We are getting married at Spruces Campground in Big Cottonwood Canyon, UT. The address is S Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84121. Make a left at the junction and travel up Big Cottonwood Canyon 9.7 miles to the campground. The ceremony and reception will be held at "group site #9".
