Branson and Caitlin met on August 31, 2019, at the infamous Auburn bar, 1716, after the Auburn–Oregon football game. Less than a month later (October 9th, to be exact), they made it official.
From that point on, they spent very little time apart — attending football games, sorority and fraternity date parties.
In April 2020, Caitlin surprised Branson on her 1st visit to Durham — which happened to coincide with his brief buzz-cut era. Branson returned the favor in May with a visit to the Mapps in Baltimore.
Between North Carolina and Maryland, they’ve logged plenty of weekends supporting each other’s favorite teams.
They’ve also traveled with family and friends to OBX, Lake Martin, Las Vegas, Maine, Big Sky, Newport, Boston, Mexico, Bald Head, Nashville, Key West, NYC, and more.
They graduated from Auburn University in Spring and Winter 2021.
After college, they moved to Atlanta for a short stint — Branson working at JB Hunt (and later MetLife), and Caitlin at Emory Hospital.
In Fall 2023, they relocated to Fells Point in Baltimore shortly before Caitlin began PA school.
After nearly 7 years of dating... Branson finally proposed on the Fells Point pier on September 6, 2025. Caitlin said yes — obviously.
