FAQs

If you have any questions other than what we've listed here, please feel free to reach out to us directly!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

As of April 1st, we are no longer accepting RSVPs. You are still welcome to attend; however, dinner will not be provided.

Question

Should we be worried about the war between Russia and Ukraine?

Answer

No. While Czech Republic is accepting Ukraine refugees, it is not in direct conflict with Russia or at risk of going to war with them. As a NATO country surrounded by other NATO territories, the region remains protected and still a safe place to visit, as noted by both travel and security experts.

Question

What are Czech Republic's current travel requirements for COVID-19?

Answer

Effective April 9, 2022, the Czech Republic has suspended all COVID-19 related entry restrictions for travelers. Travelers to the Czech Republic are no longer required to complete a Passenger Locator Form, provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or prior infection, etc. Additional information is available on the Czech Ministry of Interior’s COVID-19 website and the Czech Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 portal: https://cz.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information-71/.

Question

Why Prague?

Answer

Tony's immediate family lives in Prague and it's always held a special place in our hearts. We think it's one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and are confident you'll love it too. We also just hope you use our wedding as an excuse for planning your own amazing Euro trip!

Question

I am interested in exploring other countries in Europe, what is nearby?

Answer

They don't refer to the Czech Republic as "The Heart of Europe" for nothing! Traveling in-between European countries - especially from Prague - is very easy and inexpensive once you have arrived. Here are a few ideas: Amsterdam - 1.5 hr flight Paris - 2 hour flight London - 2 hour flight Budapest - 1 hr flight Berlin - 1 hr flight Barcelona - 2 hr flight Lisbon - 2.5 hr flight Rome - 2 hr flight Vienna - 1 hr flight

Question

What currency do they use in Prague?

Answer

Czech Koruna (CZK). The exchange rate typically equates 1 US Dollar to around 22 Czech Koruna, so a rough rule of thumb is to divide everything by 5. It is a *very* affordable city to eat, drink, and explore. Euro is also accepted in most establishments.

Question

I've never travelled to Europe, what do I need?

Answer

Passport! Passport! Passport! A European travel converter for electronics. Clothing for mild-to-warm weather (think: layers). Comfy shoes for exploring. A camera for the memories!

Question

Are cell phones and cameras allowed during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that everyone please keep personal devices put away and on silent during the ceremony, so that all of our guests can be present in the moment.

Question

How does phone service work in Europe?

Answer

It depends on your carrier, but most offer an international plan option. If anything, we recommend at least one person in your group have international data turned on for getting around the city (for maps, directions, Ubers, etc). Note, most hotels and restaurants will have Wifi you can connect to as well.

Question

How much should you tip at a restaurant?

Answer

10% if the service is good.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

The more the merrier! We just ask that you please include your plus one's name and meal preference in the RSVP.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

The whole family is welcome! However, do want to note that we will not have a designated kids area or chaperones, so you or your partner will be responsible for watching and entertaining them.
