Cocktail Attire: We kindly ask guests to wear vibrant summer colors such as bright blues, pinks, oranges, corals, yellows, greens, or floral prints to celebrate our August wedding. Women are encouraged to wear midi or floor-length dresses, elevated jumpsuits, or dressy separates. Men should wear suits, lightweight blazers, or dress shirts with slacks in light colors or classic tones; ties are optional. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside in a garden. The reception will move indoors. Our bridesmaids will be wearing various shades of pink, and the groomsmen will be in navy blue. Anybody not in the wedding party is still welcome to wear these colors.
Please arrive between 4:00–4:15 PM to allow time for seating. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM.
We’ve reserved a block of rooms for our guests at a special group rate at the Wyndham Southbury (1284 Strongtown Road, Southbury, CT 06488). Reservations can be made in one of two ways: ---By phone: Call 203-653-8179 and ask for the Hansen-Duda group rate ---Online: Use our booking code 081526HAN We recommend booking early, as rooms are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis Location: The hotel is just about 5–7 minutes (2–3 miles) from our wedding venue. Check In: 3 PM Transportation: A shuttle will be provided to and from the hotel and Whittemore at Vyne before and after the wedding. The final return shuttle to the hotel will depart at 10:30 PM. Guests attending the afterparty will need to arrange their own transportation :(
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration for guests 18 and older. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!
We’re lucky enough to already have most of the things we need, and as we prepare to move into our new home later this summer, it’s difficult to know exactly what we’ll need until we’re settled into the space.
