As soon as possible! October is one of the busiest (and most beautiful) times of year in Door County. Our wedding falls during peak season and peak week. Hotels and rentals book up quickly, especially on fall weekends, so we highly recommend reserving your accommodations early to get the best availability and rates.
Sturgeon Bay is a great option if you’re looking for something more budget friendly while still being close to all the fun. If you’re dreaming of something a little more charming and quaint, areas north of Sturgeon Bay (like Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, or Sister Bay) offer that classic Door County feel. No matter where you stay, you’ll be right in the heart of beautiful Door County.
If you’re flying from Orlando, Allegiant offers a nonstop flight to Appleton (ATW), about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Door County. Green Bay (GRB) is another great option and is about 45 minutes away, though it typically requires a connecting flight.
We’ll all meet at the Door County Trolley Station. From there, we’ll ride together to the ceremony site in Peninsula State Park. Easy, scenic, and no GPS stress required.
Please arrive by 10:00am. We would prefer you to be there at 9:45am, but do your thing. The trolley will roll out on time and we’d hate to leave anyone behind!
Nope! Once you arrive at the trolley station, you can leave your car there. The trolley is your ride to and from the ceremony.
Yes! The ceremony will be outdoors in Peninsula State Park. Cue the fall colors!
October in Door County equals crisp fall vibes. Think layers, light jackets, wraps, and comfy shoes. You’ll thank yourself later, Floridians!
We’re planning a relaxed, joyful day that wraps up in the early evening. Perfect for exploring Door County or a celebratory cocktail later.
