Matron of Honor
Ryleigh, Matron of Honor Ryleigh is the friend I never knew I needed. She came into my life out of nowhere and instantly felt like home. We met just last year, moved to Atlanta together, lived together during our child life internships, and somehow became connected on a soul level in record time. I always joke that she’s my soulmate because our friendship has been effortless from the very beginning. She is endlessly selfless, steady, and always there when I need her. From late-night study sessions during our master’s program to navigating internships, careers, and even helping me move back to Texas, she has been by my side through everything. We may not have childhood memories, but we have walked through some of the toughest and most meaningful parts of adulthood together. I am so grateful to have her standing with me on this day and in every chapter ahead.
Best Man
Jackson is my absolute best friend in this life. I’ve known him for as long as I can remember - he’s my brother, but he’s also so much more than that. He’s the person I can be completely honest with, the one who listens without judgment (okay, well maybe a little judgment - I mean he’s my brother after all), and the one who can read me better than anyone else. He’s intentional, thoughtful, and always knows the right questions to ask. If I’m off or not being myself, he sees it immediately. We’ve shared the same childhood, the same parents, and so many of the same experiences, which has made our bond deeper than I could ever explain. Some of my favorite memories are WITH him, from traveling all over California and Europe to exploring Canada, Mexico, and so many places in between. He’s the funniest person I know, someone all my friends love, and I’m genuinely honored to have him stand by me as my best man. I’m so grateful for who he is and the way he always shows up for me.
Maid of Honor
Stacey Roth, Maid of Honor Stacey and I met in 2020 through the same college ministry, and she quickly became one of my very first friends there. Within a month of each other, we both gave our lives to Jesus, and from that moment on I have always called her my spiritual sister. We lived together for three years in college and filled that time with countless memories of laughing, crying, studying, cooking, and simply growing through life together. Stacey is the person who always leads me back to the truth. She stands firmly on God’s word and is truly a prayer warrior. Her humility and servant-hearted spirit shine in everything she does, and she is always the first to volunteer to help whenever I need anything. She is a forever friend who has stayed by my side through so many seasons, from singleness to dating to engagement. Now we are both planning weddings and somehow getting married just a month apart, which still makes me laugh. I am so grateful for her friendship and for the steady, faithful presence she has been in my life.
Groomsman
I’ve known Stephen my entire life, but over the years he’s become much more than my cousin - he’s become one of my closest friends. He knows me well and has walked with me through a lot. He has one of the kindest and most servant-hearted spirits I’ve ever seen. Stephen loves people like Jesus does - fully, generously, and without hesitation. He’s the type of person who will drop anything to care for someone who needs it. One of my favorite memories with him is our road trip to Philadelphia, where our friendship grew even deeper. Even though we spent holidays and family gatherings together growing up, it wasn’t until he moved to Virginia that our relationship took a new step. We’ve had so many laughs, so many good conversations, and I love hearing his laugh - it’s one of the best I know. I am truly grateful to have him standing with me on my wedding day.
Bridesmaid
Ellie, Bridesmaid I met Ellie through Katherine, her lifelong best friend, and from the start I knew she was someone truly special. She is one of the sweetest souls you will ever meet, meek, gentle, kind, and caring. Ellie has always shown up for me over the years, encouraging me in my faith and walking alongside me through life’s ups and downs. She has a servant heart and a steady, calming presence that makes everyone around her feel cared for and valued. Over the years, Ellie and I have gone on countless adventures together. From exploring new places to laughing through the little mishaps along the way, she makes every moment brighter. She has a unique ability to bring peace wherever she goes and to make any room feel warmer and more welcoming. Ellie has quietly and consistently pursued our friendship, even visiting me after I moved to Atlanta, and her loyalty has meant more to me than words can express. Ellie is the kind of woman I hope to be one day, someone I deeply admire and look up to. Her kindness, faith, and joyful presence inspire me daily. I am so grateful for her friendship, her encouragement, and the light she brings into my life.
Groomsman
Erick is one of my absolute best friends and truly the human version of a golden retriever - loyal, joyful, intentional, and full of heart. I’ve known him for over five years, and he has always been someone I can count on, no matter what. He remembers the little things, the funny stories, the moments that matter, and he loves encouraging others in a way that reflects Jesus so clearly. I have the code to his house, and he and his wife welcome me in like family - it really feels like a second home. Erick and I have shared too many great memories to count, but getting to see Green Day together, fully decked out in emo eyeliner and gear, was one of the most fun. He makes me laugh, helps me feel free to be silly, and is just an incredible friend. I’m honored to have him standing with me.
Bridesmaid
Katherine, Bridesmaid Katherine is simply the best. She is my travel buddy and partner-in-adventure, and somehow everything that could go wrong always happens when we are together. We have hiked mountains, swum in oceans, and even survived natural disasters, and through it all, her laughter and calm presence make every experience unforgettable. We met in 2020 through the same college ministry, but our friendship has no real origin story. Kat was just always there, steady and faithful, attending every plan and event with a kind smile. Over the years, we have grown closer, sharing our love for nature, art, and travel. She has carried me through some of life’s most difficult seasons, and I hope I have done the same for her. Kat is the kind of friend who is always down for an adventure. When others get busy, no worries, Kat is ready to go. She is a woman whose yes means yes and no means no, and I am so grateful to have her by my side.
Groomsman
I’ve known Ryan for almost five years, and one of my favorite things about him is how much he loves to laugh - and how easily he makes everyone else laugh too. He loves Jesus deeply, and it’s been beautiful to see him grow into an amazing husband and father. I had the honor of being in his wedding, and I’m grateful now to have him standing with me in mine. Ryan is someone I call when I’m struggling, and he’s always there. We’ve had countless walks where we talk about life, faith, and everything in between. He’s selfless, inclusive, and always makes sure no one feels left out. He’s also incredibly talented as a musician, and I constantly leave conversations with him feeling more grounded in Jesus. Some of my favorite memories with him are all the tubing trips, floating the river, grabbing meals at The Gristmill, and all the drives where we’ve helped each other move stuff between San Antonio and Austin. I never get tired of being with him, and I’m so thankful for his friendship.
Bridesmaid
Shirley Roth, Bridesmaid Oh, sweet Shirls! I met Shirley at the same time as Stacey in 2020, and I was lucky enough to live with her for three years in college. From the very beginning, Shirley pursued our friendship so intentionally, always including me in every plan and making sure I felt loved. She is the type of friend who makes everyone feel valued, and she is incredibly funny and silly without ever being mean. I always say there are three types of friends: leaves, branches, and roots. Shirley is a root. She is steadfast, stable, and unwavering. Our friendship has faced challenges over the years, but I have never once doubted her love for me. When I first became a Christian, I wrestled with hurt and unforgiveness, and Shirley never shied away. She sat with me in my brokenness, holding me through many hard nights, always speaking life and truth into me. I am so grateful for her love, her faithfulness, and her friendship. I love you, Shirley Roth.
Groomsman
I met Zac in 2021 when he moved to Austin from California, and we became friends almost instantly. We bonded over shared interests and hobbies - two of our favorites things include long bike rides all over the city, and swimming at Barton Springs. He’s someone I can talk with for hours, a great listener, and truly one of the most humble and kindhearted people I know. Zac has played a major role in my life, especially when it came to helping plan my proposal to Cait. It happened right by his apartment downtown, and he helped coordinate everything. One of my favorite memories with him is when we randomly ran into Willie Nelson at the Long Center during a bike ride - they were celebrating his birthday, and we got to see him on his tour bus. It felt like one of those perfect Austin moments. Zac and I share a deep love for this city, and I’m grateful he’s become like a brother to me.
Bridesmaid
Regina, Bridesmaid Man, Regina! We have road-tripped across the country together and made so many unforgettable memories along the way. She is a hardworking woman who never does anything halfway. If she says yes to something, you can trust that she will give it her absolute all. Regina is the type of friend where time can pass, and we can just pick up right where we left off. When I first started college, I was struggling and thought about taking a break, but she would not let me. She sat with me through long nights helping me write papers and believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. She has always been by my side, cheering me on through all the seasons and always wanting more for my life. Regina is silly, fun, and the life of any party, bringing laughter wherever she goes. She has navigated difficult life situations with me and has always spoken wisdom and truth into my life. Over the last five years, she has been a steady, constant friend, and I cannot imagine navigating life without her. Regina is truly incredible, and I am so grateful for her friendship, loyalty, and the joy she brings into my life.
Groomsman
I met Joel in 2022 while he was still early into medical school at Texas A&M, and we hit it off right away. He was smart, personable, friendly, and intentional from the start. When the opportunity came to be roommates, we both jumped on it, and living together for nearly three years shaped our friendship in such a meaningful way. We’ve had deep talks, seen each other at our worst, and celebrated each other at our best. Joel is loyal to the core, and it’s an honor to have him stand by me. He’s the guy who somehow got me into some country music, and he was there when I bought my first cowboy hat after nearly a decade in Texas. When we first moved in, we hosted a housewarming party that nearly 100 people showed up to - and I still miss throwing parties with him. I was able to watch him get baptized a couple years ago, and that will forever be one of my most cherished memories with him. He’s become a lifelong friend, and I’m so thankful for him.
Bridesmaid
Destiny is my soon-to-be sister-in-law, and from the moment I met her, I knew she was an answered prayer. Growing up, I always wished for one more sibling, hoping it would be a sister, and the Lord was so kind to give me Destiny. She has become the sister I always longed for. She is caring, kind, silly, beautiful, and endlessly welcoming. In such a short time, we have already lived so much life together. We have hiked in Colorado, explored Louisiana, and even gotten rained out at Disney, and Destiny just laughs through it all. Nothing ever seems to put her in a bad mood, and her joy is contagious. She embraced me from the very beginning and made me feel like part of the family. I cannot wait to continue growing with her and see what our life together as family will look like.
Groomsman
If I could describe Mike in one word, it would be generous. He has one of the biggest hearts I know and loves blessing others - especially with his incredible BBQ and cooking skills. I met him in 2022, lived with him and Joel for three years, and we walked through so much life together. Getting to stand by him on his wedding day was an honor, and I’m grateful now to have him standing with me on mine. One of my favorite memories with Mike is our trip to Canada right before we all moved out. The three of us spent a week in the mountains of British Columbia, exploring and talking about life and faith. Hearing how much he’s grown spiritually has helped me grow closer to Jesus, too. His wisdom runs deep - even deeper when he’s had a little whiskey, which is why everyone calls him “Whiskey Mike.” I cherish his friendship so much.
