Travel

Since the Vail Valley is a popular tourist destination, there are countless hotel options that vary on price and amenities. You will also find many Airbnb and VRBO's to chose from.

Travel Note

Altitude

Altitude is no joke! Make sure you are staying hydrated during your travels. Electrolytes and water are key. We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle - there are plenty of places to fill up at the airports, in town, and hotels.

Travel Note

Rental Cars and Transportation

We suggest renting a car as the Vail Valley has extremely limited (if at all) taxi, Uber and Lyft options. Most hotels in Vail and Beaver Creek will offer local free shuttle service on a first-come-first-serve basis, but it is not something we recommend counting on.

Flight

Denver International Airport

There are two airports to choose from when visiting the Vail Valley. The Denver International Airport will have more variety of flights from all over the country. It is just over a 2 hour drive from DIA to Eagle County.

Flight

Eagle County Regional Airport

EGE is about 30 miles from Avon/Vail. This airport is easier to travel to and from, but has limited flight options. Rental cars are available.
