After the rehearsal dinner, Caitlin & Ben look forward to celebrating with out-of-town friends and family at the welcome party held at the hotel lobby bar. Hosted by Jon & Claudia.
Casual attire is encouraged. Come thirsty, although we recommend eating dinner beforehand since only light snacks will be provided. Big Star Taco is located right next to the Hotel Zachary and is a great spot for a group. We will add other Wrigleyville dining recommendations to the website as the wedding approaches. Depending where your night takes you, Ben recommends having a night cap at Murphy’s Bleachers located next to Wrigley Field, right behind the famous bleacher section. Murphy’s is a 6-minute walk from Hotel Zachary around Wrigley Field, so no transportation is necessary.

Ceremony at the Chicago History Museum

Our ceremony (and reception) will be held at the landmark Chicago History Museum in Lincoln Park. Founded in 1856 as the Chicago Historical Society, the museum is Chicago’s oldest cultural institution, predating the 1871 Great Chicago Fire. We are excited to share Chicago’s colorful history with you at this venue! VERY IMPORTANT INFO: Extended family photos will be taken in the Hotel Zachary lobby at 2:45 pm. WEDDING PARTY BUS WILL LEAVE Hotel Zachary promptly at 3:30 pm. BUSES FOR GUESTS WILL LEAAVE Hotel Zachary at 4:30 pm. Meet on ground floor in front of hotel for buses. For wedding guests who are not staying at the hotel, we suggest ride share apps such as Uber or Lyft. Free parking is available in the Chicago History Museum lot one block north of the museum, at Clark and LaSalle. Enter lot on Stockton Drive. Validate free parking at the end of the evening. Wondering about coats and boots? No worries, there is a large coat check at the museum!
