Caitlin and Ben met in NYC five years ago, living just a mile away from each other. Their first (real) date was at a food truck festival in Brooklyn, where they shared an affinity for coconut water straight from the coconut - Caitlin because of her fond memories of Thailand, Ben just because he's always enjoyed anything sweet and tropical. Just a year into their relationship, Ben faced an opportunity to move from NYC back home to Connecticut and they agreed that this was no fleeting romance and made the decision to move to the suburbs of CT together. For the past three years, they have been living quite happily in New London, CT, just a mile from the beach, and sharing their lives (as often as possible) with one of the best boys alive, Ben's parents' dog Kona. They spend summers at the beach with their paddleboards and winters snuggled away on their massive couch in front of their (fake) fireplace making sure to regularly plan random adventures, as their desire to explore and travel is one of the things that brought them so close together. They both feel like they're not really adults and are just kind of winging this life thing but agree that whatever life brings, they're in it together, for the long haul. From Ben: I love Caitlin beyond words. I had no idea what it was like to have not only a relationship but a partnership with your best friend until I met her. I couldn't be more excited to move on with the next stage of our lives together.
