As most of you know, Matt and I started dating junior year of high school (almost 9 years ago!!). Before high school, however, we crossed paths many times. Matt and I grew up only one mile from each other and attended elementary, middle, and high school together! Once high school started, we got to know each other through mutual friends. The initial spark happened in chemistry class, sophomore year. As we got to know each other more, the flirtation continued. As we spent more time together, it was obvious there was more chemistry between us than just chemistry class :) , so we started dating in August of 2011! Fast forward a few years later, we both decided to attend Clemson University. Like most couples, we faced challenges, but ultimately, our college years taught us how to be better partners. As college progressed, we became more solid in our goals, values, and dreams. As graduation approached, we knew what we wanted for our future together, but had to face a new obstacle, long distance. I moved to Charleston to begin a new chapter, where I pursued my dream to become a physician assistant, while Matt moved back to Greenville to start a new job in packaging science. The distance was difficult at times, but it allowed us to grow as individuals and as a couple. After 2.5 years of long distance, I graduated from MUSC's Physician Assistant program and moved back to our hometown to be with Matt and our families. We are excited to turn the page and begin our next chapter! We are so grateful for all of those who have encouraged us along the way and watched our journey as a couple! We cannot wait to share this special day with you!
