Storm King Art Center is a 500-acre outdoor museum located in New York’s Hudson Valley, where visitors experience large-scale sculpture and site-specific commissions under open sky. A great place to walk or bike (hourly rentals available) around and check out the various art installations. Bring lunch for a picnic. Storm King Art Center is open Wednesday – Monday, 10AM – 5:30PM, with late summer hours on Fridays and Saturdays until 7:30PM. Timed-entry tickets are required and must be reserved in advance.

Head to downtown Beacon and enjoy the various shops, restaurants, bars, and art galleries. Stop by Happy Valley Arcade Bar and then get Glazed Over Donuts across the street or get brunch at Wonderbar before a movie at the Beacon.
Located in a former Nabisco box-printing factory, Dia Beacon presents Dia’s collection of art from the 1960s to the present as well as special exhibitions and public programs. Dia Beacon provides public tours every Saturday and Sunday at 12pm and 1:30pm. Tours are free with admission.

Bear Mountain State Park is situated in rugged mountains rising from the west bank of the Hudson River. The park features a large play field, shaded picnic groves, lake and river fishing access, a swimming pool, Trailside Museums and Zoo, hiking, biking and cross-country ski trails. Bear Mountain is open 365 days a year from 8AM to dusk.
