Flight

Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport (RTB)

Roatan Airport For safety and reduced complications, this is the PREFERRED option for our guests. But of course, we encourage you to do what is best for you.

Flight

Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport (SAP)

Main airport in Honduras. This option requires add'l travel by: plane, bus and/or ferry. Which option is best? Flying: Is the easiest and fastest way to get to Roatan, especially if you have limited time. Bus and Ferry: Is a less expensive option if you're traveling on a tight budget and don't mind a longer journey with an overnight stop. Important Notes: Always verify ferry schedules, as they can change. Allow ample time for transfers and potential delays, especially when using the bus and ferry option. Flying: Airlines: Aerolineas Sosa and CM Airlines offer direct flights between San Pedro Sula and Roatan. Flight Time: The direct flight takes about 45 minutes. Cost: One-way flights generally range from $80 to $150, although prices can fluctuate. Booking: You can book flights online or in person at the airport. Considerations: Flying involves clearing customs in San Pedro Sula before your connecting flight to Roatan. Bus and Ferry: San Pedro Sula Airport to La Ceiba: Take a taxi or Uber from the airport to the Terminal Metropolitana de Bus in San Pedro Sula. Bus to La Ceiba: Book a ticket with Transport Cristina to La Ceiba; Bus ride takes about 4 hours. Cost: Around $6 for one-way ticket. Ferry to Roatan: Take the ferry from La Ceiba to Roatan. The Utila Dream ferry leaves La Ceiba daily at 9:00 am, except for maintenance days. The ferry ride takes about 45 minutes. Cost: The ferry ride from La Ceiba to Roatan costs $25-35 per person.
