Nick and Cailynn officially met in the fall of 2008, Cailynn's sophomore year at Cheshire High School. Nick was a freshman varsity soccer starter who immediately caught Cailynn's eyes. The two were friendly, bonding over soccer, however they just remained friends. It wasn't until 6 years later at Central Connecticut State University when the two realized they were meant to be together and their love story began.

Spring 2014, neither Nick or Cailynn were looking for a relationship at the time but they say you cannot stop love. There was a spark between Nick & Cailynn that could not be put out, an instant connection. Their first date was at Joey Garlics where Nick surprised Cailynn....only to find out months later she didn't really like Joey Garlics (off to a great start!). Nick officially asked Cailynn to be his girlfriend on a bench in West Hartford July 9th, 2014 while eating Ben & Jerrys!

Nick & Cailynn went to Acadia National Park where they have been going for the past 4 years with Cailynn's family. During the most beautiful sunset on the top of Cadillac Mountain, Nick got down on one knee and asked the big question. The moment was pure bliss, being surrounded by immediate family and Cailynn obviously saying YES! The night got even better according to Nick when the Packers won against the Bears! The weekend continued to be full of surprises for Cailynn when Nick had their family and friends join them for the weekend in Acadia. One of the best weekends of their story together!
