It all began on Monday, August 14th, 2023, when we happened to sit at the same table after our MVP golf league. Chad asked our mutual friend Kelly if the four of us—Chad, his dad (Mr. Brown), Cailyn, and Kelly—could play together the following week. What Chad didn’t know at the time was that Cailyn had emailed Kelly later that week to make sure that round actually happened. Fast forward to Monday, August 21st: the four of us hit the course together. After a few drinks, Chad and Cailyn were blasting Jason Derulo and having the absolute best time on the course. Later that night, after the league wrapped up, Cailyn was walking to her car with one of her best friends and asked her for Chad’s number. When she got home, she texted him—just a Jason Derulo meme. No words. Just the meme. They started texting that week, saw each other again on Friday, August 25th, and the rest is history. Thanks to a little golf, a good friend, and Mr. Derulo, Cailyn and Chad were no longer ridin’ solo.
