we're getting married!

“It's the idea that the universe itself is stitched together with unseen threads all leading us to our destinies, whether we want them to or not.” Austin and Cailyn met at church camp when they were 12. They exchanged social medias and even went on a "campfire date" once. After camp they didn't talk until Freshman year of college at Mizzou. Cailyn had posted a video of her singing and playing guitar, and Austin decided to reach out after 6 years. Their first date was dinner on campus, but neither wanted to go home, so they went back to Austin's dormroom and played his guitars with friends. They dated all four years of college.

After asking for Cailyn's hand in marriage, her father Carter Hickman asked Austin that he waited to propose until Cailyn recieved her Bachelor's degree. Cailyn's graduation ceremony was at 7:00pm on Friday May 10, 2024. Immediately after her commencement, Austin took her to the famous Columns on Mizzou's Francis Quadrangle, and got down on one knee. From behind some trees and bushes, out ran all of Austin's and Cailyn's families. Parents, siblings, and grandparents. It was a beautiful and surprising moment that the two will never forget. The next day the celebrated at her grandmother's house and got to celebrate twice as many wonderful things!
