How will the altitude impact me?
Answer
Denver is 5,280 feet in elevation. Golden is 5,675 feet in elevation. North Star Gatherings is almost 9,000 feet in elevation. Everyone handles the altitude differently (some friends barely notice and others definitely do). Spending a day or two in Denver or Golden before heading to Idaho Springs may help you adjust a little bit before going to North Star Gatherings. Our lovely friends at North Star Gatherings have shared that most guests do not have issues with altitude at their events, but that there are places to sit and relax inside if you need to rest. It is very important to stay hydrated and fed!!!

Can I bring my children to the wedding?
Answer
Kids are invited to the welcome party! Golden is a family vacation destination with tons of activities for all ages! We love kids (let's face it...Cailin often acts like one), but, unfortunately, due to limited space at the venue, our ceremony and reception are adults-only events. Can I bring a date?
Answer
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear with your name on your save the date and invitation, as well as under your name when you RSVP. Please RSVP for both yourself and your date to ensure an accurate headcount and that we have enough food to feed everyone. We would love to meet any companions that cannot join for this event in the future. Thank you for understanding!

What is the dress code?

Black tie optional! Choose your own adventure... the range of cocktail attire to ball gowns/tuxedos is encouraged. The wedding party will be fancy... so you cannot be over-dressed. This event is in Colorado...so you cannot be under-dressed. If you show up in a costume, then we will still invite you in because we are just excited to celebrate with you!

Will the wedding be outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors so please plan accordingly. The reception will be indoors. Ladies, the venue is pretty flat and sturdy so feel free to wear heels unless you plan to go traversing in the surrounding forest (the venue people will stop you if you attempt this - heels won't allow you to outrun them).

How do I get to and from the venue? Is there parking available at the venue?
Answer
We are providing shuttles for guests to and from the venue! The pick up and drop off location for the shuttles is at the Golden Hotel (the same location as the hotel block and the Welcome Party). Please RSVP for the shuttles when you RSVP for the wedding. The wedding venue is located on top of a mountain. We STRONGLY encourage guests to use the shuttles. Guests who are imbibing in adult beverages are REQUIRED to use the shuttles. There is no overnight parking at the venue. Out of town guests, please do not learn to drive in the mountains in the dark. If you wish to remain sober and drive, please let us know ahead of time so we can coordinate parking with the venue!

Will there be an after party?

We completed a 11 year trial run before getting hitched. The celebration will not stop at 10pm. Details pending.
