You can't go wrong with San Antonio or Austin, but we like Austin because it's a little larger and easier to access. If you fly in early you can find cool places to hang in both cities!
We’re so glad you asked! For the guys, a summer suit or sport jacket would be great - no tie needed (but bolo ties welcome). For the ladies, we would love any colorful fun summery dresses. Here’s a Pinterest board we made to help you see our vision: https://pin.it/5oXgw0n2s
While we absolutely would love it if everyone was our next-door neighbors, our friends and family are all over the country (and as far as Australia)! Knowing that this would be a destination wedding regardless of the location for those folks, we decided the Texas Hill Country would be central enough and beautiful enough to justify the travel.
Great question - historical weather data tells us a high of around 83F and a low of 60F, but Texas being Texas you should check the weather before you pack!
You can get an Uber from the Austin airport to Johnson City, but if you want to explore the hill country, renting a car is also a good idea! If you will not have a car with you, you can also find more options for local taxis here: https://www.stayintx.com/post/transportation-modes-to-get-you-around-texas-hill-country
