How We Met

I love you a latte ♡

HIM: It was my second year at Chapman and as a result of my schedule I spent most Monday afternoons at the Starbucks in the Orange Circle. Most days I would chat with Cailey and we were friendly, but I always assumed she was just a nice person in the service industry. Finals week rolled around and on the last Monday of the semester I let Cailey know my schedule would be different the next semester and I would not be there as often, then she told me she would be transferring stores. I will be honest, I fully intended on asking her out, and I COMPLETELY chickened out. I gathered my things to leave I waved goodbye and began leaving. As I was on my way out, I felt like a bum, but Cailey called me back. She was holding a receipt paper but when she handed me the paper I saw she had written her number on it. I was very relieved, I could have missed out BIG TIME but I still have the paper, and I have still got the girl so I think it worked out pretty well. HER: I was working at a Starbucks in downtown Orange. I'd been at that store for a while, and the manager there was going to open a new one and wanted me to join that team, so I knew my time in downtown Orange was limited. A little before the transfer, I started to notice this tall, sweet, goofy guy that would come into my store every week. I'd seen him a couple times, and had been really hoping he'd ask for my number, but he never did. Finally, it was the week before I was going to transfer stores, and finals week for Cole, meaning I likely wouldn't see him again. I almost let him leave without saying anything, but then I just had the strongest feeling that I'd be missing out on something BIG if I didn't at least try. So I shakily wrote my number down on a piece of paper with my name, called out to him just as he was walking out the door, and told him he should call me some time. It took him 4 days (thank you, finals week), but he finally did. Best decision I've ever made.

For all the days along the way
