Parking

Information from the Cathedral's website: Capitol Tower Parking Garage (only free on weekends and after 5pm on weekdays): The Capitol Tower Garage is located just south of the Cathedral on the same block. It is located at 206 E 9th St. and accessed off San Jacinto Blvd. entrance to the Cathedral from the garage is through the Donohue Center Gym and located on Elevator Floor #2. On weekdays after 5:00pm, Saturday, and Sunday you can park without paying by validating your ticket in the Donahue Center Gym at the kiosk by the elevator bank door. During the week, we are unable to validate your parking ticket, and you must pay the normal parking garage rates. Texas Capitol Visitor's Parking Garage: The Texas Capitol Visitors' Garage, which is 2 blocks away, is an economical option on most weekdays. It's free for 2 hours and then $1/hour after that. It is located at 1201 San Jacinto Blvd. Additional Parking The alley behind the Cathedral has a limited number of parking spaces and are reserved for staff during school and business hours. Metered parking is available around the area. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings after 6pm is generally free for the area around the Cathedral but please check the meters to make sure. Metered parking is free on Sundays and major holidays.
