Special COVID-19 Updates:

Please note we are taking extensive actions to make sure our outdoor event is both safe and fun as we proceed! CDC recommendations will be followed including vendors wearing masks, social distancing at tables and encouraging masks for guests when not able to maintain distance. -There will be hand sanitation stations throughout the property, please use liberally! -Tables will be limited to 6 guests. -Masks are encouraged, especially when on the dance floor- we plan to get down! -Please bear with us during dinner time and while getting drinks from the bars. Our caterer is working diligently to make sure your food has minimal contact with the air. Before any food or beverage service, your hands will need to be sanitized, these stations will be readily available at convenient locations. These extra precautions will increase the time it takes to serve you but we just want everyone to feel safe and comfortable! -Single use cups for mixed drinks and wine will be used for each serving but don't worry they are compostable, we're still being as Green as we can be! -Please reach out to Julie or Rob if you have questions or concerns, we appreciate everyone's flexibility and willingness to help us celebrate! We love you all and want you to feel safe and comfortable! Lastly, after party plans are confirmed! The Nauti-Goose is open we and plan to continue to the party there, please join us if you’re still up for more fun!

The long way around...

Rob and I first met back in 2013, September 21st to be exact. Thanks to a music festival, school bus, serious Fall rainstorm, and one mutual friend (we owe you Sarah!) we spent most of the day together, and even have a selfie or two to prove it. In true fashion for the both of us, we had an instant attraction but the timing was off. It would take a few more years and some chance run ins for the two of us to find our way back to each other in the fall of 2017, and we’ve been inseperable ever since. They say you can’t hurry love, we’re living proof! The photo below is from 9/21/13... I think we can all agree, we’ve gotten better with age, but there’s a sense of foreshadowing here that was too good not to share!

The Proposal

“Do you really want to get married?”-Rob

Traveling is one of our favorite things to do, just ask any of our friends in Baltimore, we’re hardly here. So we could not wait to take off to Portugal in February of 2019. The past few months had been packed! Rob and I moved in together which involved updating both of our houses- mine to rent out and Rob’s to get ready for 3 new roomates, myself, Archie, and Morgan. Rob had also rehabbed, sold, and was in the process of buying a new house to fix up. I had been back and forth to Pittsburgh more times than we could count. Needless to say, we were ready for a break! 2 days before our trip we had a slight household emergency which invovled Rob ripping down the entire kitchen ceiling, patching some holes, and re-hanging a full ceiling of dry wall the night before our trip... did I mention we needed a vacation? Portugal was beautiful, and on more than one occasion I not so subtly hinted that it would be such a beautiful place to get engaged, Rob was less than amused. On our second to last night away, after the most fantastic Michelin Star dinner, I couldn’t wait to go back to our room and relax. We were sitting on the couch, enjoying some wine and talking about how great the trip had been when Rob asked me “So do you really want to get married?” Well in true fashion I let him have it! “Of course I do, hello! I’m not the problem here, of course I want to. I’m just waiting for you!!!” To which Rob replied “What are you waiting for, this?” and pulled the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen out of his pocket. After some disbelief and swearing from me, I said yes and proceeded to cry my eyes out! Later, I came to find out our proposal was going to happen the night before our trip but the kitchen, and life, clearly had other plans!!
