Two Become One

We met on bumble.com in March 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. On April 1, we stayed on the phone until the early morning hours of April 2. Right before we finally hung up, Will asked me if I was seeing anyone. He took my response as confirmation that we were official. I was confused because we had not met in person yet. So I didn’t take him seriously at all. LOL! Nevertheless, we met in person a few days later on a socially distanced date. We soon became inseparable and madly in love.

I’d been planing to propose to Cae’sare since the beginning of 2021. Her birthday is late September, and she made it clear what she wanted. She’d been talking to her friends about plans and coming up with ideas. She would drop subliminal messages to me about how she wanted things to go. The whole time I was planing to propose a few days prior to her birthday. I enlisted her friend Dionne for assistance when things got hairy. (Cae’sare was getting mad that I wasn’t listening) I told her that her birthday was wasn’t a big deal and that it was just another day. I reached out to all her other friends and told them I was planing a secret party for Cae’sare. Trying to get them here from Florida and the Atlanta area was a task. Finally everyone that could make it was on board and we came in one by one to one of her favorite restaurants in Columbus, GA. During dinner I asked her to marry me with as many friends and family that could be there. All this came after a long night of Cae’sare’s parents going through pages of questions about how I would be as a husband and would I be able to support their daughter. Around 3:00am I was able to get their blessing. All in all, I wouldn’t change anything. I love this lady.
