What should I wear?
Answer
We want you to feel comfortable and enjoy the celebration, so there is no specific dress code. Since the event will be in April, we recommend dressing in layers to accommodate Michigan’s unpredictable spring weather. Most of the festivities will take place indoors, but there is an outdoor fire pit and grill area where we may enjoy s’mores and a bonfire. If you’d like to step outside for some cozy fun, you may want to bring a light jacket or wrap to stay warm.

Will the event be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The majority of the wedding reception will be held indoors at the Tompkins Community Center. Weather permitting, you’re welcome to enjoy the adjacent outdoor spaces during the celebration.

Are kids allowed?

As much as we adore your little ones, due to space limitations, this will be an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding, and we hope you can enjoy a special evening with us!

What time should I arrive?

We kindly ask that guests arrive by 4:00 PM to ensure everyone is settled in and ready for the celebration. We’ll be having a special grand entrance at 4:30 PM, so we hope you’ll be there to witness the moment as we kick off the festivities!

Yes, there is ample parking at the venue, and it’s free for all guests. Directions to the venue can be found in the Travel section of this website.

Can I bring a plus-one?

If your invitation includes a plus-one, you’ll see this indicated when you RSVP. Please confirm their attendance when you RSVP so we can include them in our planning.

Is there anything else I should know?

While most of the event will be indoors, we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap if you plan to enjoy the outdoor spaces. We kindly ask you to RSVP by March 15th, 2025.
