Caedmon and I met at The Commons Church, introduced by the lovely Kasey Robinson (previously Kasey Jamieson) who is Caedmon's cousin and my best friend from high school. Caedmon and I had only talked for 10 minutes at church, but I was immediately impressed by the way he presented himself, and well, his good looks and charming smile of course. Later that day, I texted Kasey and told her how impressed I was with how mature and personable Caedmon was. Kase ended up asking me if I'd be interested in going on a date with him if he was single, and I told her I'd love that. I mean who could pass up a date with that handsome hunk of a man? Sure enough, Caedmon was single and said he'd also love to get to know me. We ended up having dinner with Kase and her family, and we had the best time. As a true gentleman would, Caedmon walked me to my car that night and asked for my phone number telling me he would love to take me on a date. I mean c'mon... this man was just green flag after green flag. For our first date, we went to Joes on Jolly. After we sat down, the waitress came over and asked us if we'd like anything to drink. I turned to Caedmon and asked (keep in mind, at this point Kase had told me he was 21 years old) if he wanted to get an alcoholic drink. He looked at me kind of funny and goes, "oh I'm only 20." Kase had apparently lied to me because she didn't think I'd go for a guy that much younger than me (I was 23 at this point in time). I smiled and said "oh okay no worries," thinking in my head "oh gosh I really am a cougar." The lunch date went amazing except for being made fun of for eating a burger with a fork. In my defense, it was a very messy burger. I could tell neither of us wanted the date to end, so we ended up going mini golfing where Caedmon got his butt whooped. We went on other fun dates; a walk at Birchfield Park, a Dairy Dans ice cream run, and a double-date lugnuts game with Kase and Cade where we took our first photo together. On May 25th, 2023, Caedmon asked me to be his girlfriend and I said no. Just kidding. I of course said yes, not knowing that "yes" would be to the love of my life and future husband. Caedmon is the man I have prayed for all my life; a fulfillment of many of the Lord's promises. It will be an absolute honor to be his wife and to build a life honoring and serving the One we both love most (:
