The Adventure Begins!

It’s 2017 and Vegas has a pro hockey team. The Golden Knights are proving that you can have hockey in the desert with win after win. Fast foward to 2018, the Golden Knights are in the hunt for the Stanley Cup and heading to the finals. All of Vegas is prepping for watch parties, this includes Rocco’s Aunt Michelle and Uncle Phil. Since he had some free time, Rocco decided to book a flight out to Vegas to hopefully watch history in the making. Before the game started, everyone in attendance was getting into their spots (either inside with the a/c or outside with an abundance of heat),snacks and stress candy were close by, and idle chit chat had started. I was running a tad bit late from work, but made it over just in time to catch the end of the pregame announcements. While saying my hellos, Rocco said, “I think you’re supposed to be my furture wife?”. I should have known right then that he was speaking the truth but where would the fun be. During a travel day for the Knights, Rocco, Michelle, Phil, and myself went to see a minor league baseball game. Who would have guessed that our adventure would begin with the help of some beer, a baseball game, and a terrible Cracker Jacks prize.

My oldest sister, Amanda, called to tell me that as birthday present she wanted to take pictures of Rocco and I. I was thrilled because we honestly had very little pictures of just the two of us. September 5,2020, Rocco, myself, Amanda and her kids drove out to the Seven Magic Mountains for pictures. We had been taking pictures for 30 minutes, sweating, but still trying to get some cute pictures. Amanda instructs me to turn my back to Rocco. After doing so, Amanda then instructed me to turn in towards him. While slowly turning around I hear Rocco say “and I do this.” Surprised and speechless are the words I would use to describe how I felt, and if you’ve seen a romcom where the girl doesn’t answer right away, then you know how Rocco felt. Needless to say, he might have had to ask again once I came to my senses, but we both knew my answer was and will always be “Yes” to spending infinity and beyond with him.
