Cady and Greg met on their first day of work as lifeguards at Lake Phalen in the summer of 2012. Cady worked a few weekend shifts and then was away in Germany for a month. During that month, Greg completely forgot about her. In July, Cady was out on a pontoon on Lake Kohlman, while Greg was kayaking with some friends on the same lake. The kayakers approached the pontoon to ask what time it was and Cady recognized Greg immediately and said hi. Greg asked who she was and he said that no one named Cady even worked at the beach. This was the beginning of their adversarial friendship filled with tipped over kayaks, canoe campers calling Greg "wedgie-Reggie", and some rock throwing. Over the next few years, they became closer friends outside of work as well until one fateful evening during July of 2015 where Greg pronounced his feelings for Cady and she reciprocated, much to no one's surprise. Their first official date was going to Olive Garden and then watching "Papertowns" at the Roseville AMC. They talked so long at dinner that they missed their showing of "Papertowns" and had to go see the movie "Mr. Holmes" which was absolutely terrible. Regardless, this first date was the beginning of an amazing relationship. Throughout the years, Cady and Greg have become avid campers, road trippers, and board game enthusiasts. They have been lucky enough to have been able to love and care for two cats, their lovely but departed Ripley and their crazy boy Louie Noodle. Greg proposed when they were on a camping trip to Lamb's Resort in Schroeder, MN. It was a rainy day, and they decided to drive up to Grand Portage State Park for the first time. They went on a hike to High Falls on the Pigeon River. Greg popped the question on the platform over looking the waterfall. It was absolutely perfect. They are so excited to be moving into this new chapter of their lives and can't wait to celebrate with you all!
