FAQs

We want your experience on our wedding day to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible, so we’ve put together a list of the questions we get asked most often. From arrival times to dress code and everything in between, you’ll find the essentials right here. If anything isn’t covered or you just need a little extra clarity, we’re always happy to help — just reach out.
Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 4:00 PM, and we recommend arriving a little early to get settled. If anyone needs to arrive earlier for any reason, we’ll reach out directly with those details.

Question

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting. The reception will be indoors in the barn at Cactus Creek.

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is semi‑formal.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Children are welcome as long as they are listed on your invitation. There will be a cut‑off time for kids later in the evening due to some music choices. If you have any questions about bringing children, just let us know.

Question

Can I bring a plus‑one?

Answer

Please only bring a plus‑one if your invitation specifically says you may.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

Parking is very close to the venue. There is also a handicap-accessible spot for anyone who needs to park even closer.

Question

Will there be a cocktail hour?

Answer

We won’t be serving alcohol, so there won’t be a cocktail hour. We’re keeping things simple and family‑friendly for the evening, and we’ll have plenty of great food, music, and fun to enjoy together.

Question

Is there a reception after the ceremony?

Answer

Yes — the reception will begin shortly after the ceremony.

Question

Will food be provided?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be having a big potluck‑style meal, and we’d love for guests to bring a dish if they want to — especially if you have dietary needs or allergies and prefer to bring something that works best for you. If you do choose to bring a dish, we kindly ask that you include a recipe card, as we’d love to add it to our future home cookbook. That said, please don’t feel obligated — we’ll make sure there is plenty of food, so not everyone needs to bring something.

Question

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’re having a no‑phone ceremony so everyone can be fully present. Our photographer will capture everything. Phones are welcome again during the reception.
