Our Sweet Beginning, Our Strong ForeverOur Sweet Beginning, Our Strong Forever

We were just 15 when we met. Two teenagers in Dairy Queen uniforms, nervously learning the ropes of our very first jobs. Who knew that between scooping Blizzards and cleaning up closing shifts, we’d stumble into the kind of love most people spend their whole lives searching for? What started as small talk behind the counter slowly turned into something more. We laughed, we connected, and before we even realized it, we were falling for each other. By junior year of high school, we weren’t just coworkers we were best friends, each other’s safe place, and eventually, each other’s first real love. Since then, we’ve grown up together learning, failing, dreaming, and building a life that feels like home. At just 18, we took a leap and bought our first house in Rothsay. People thought we were young, maybe even a little crazy, but we knew what we had was real. And we were ready to bet on each other. Today, he’s a welder by trade a hard worker who builds things with his hands and solves problems with his heart. And he’s a volunteer firefighter in our hometown of Rothsay, always ready to show up when someone is in need. Watching him step into danger with courage and selflessness makes me proud beyond words. As for me, I’m a preschool teacher, spending my days helping tiny humans learn, grow, and discover the world. It’s chaotic, messy, and full of magic kind of like love. Together, we spend our free time volunteering at the local animal shelter, giving second chances and warm cuddles to animals who haven’t had it easy. And of course, our own two dogs our babies remind us every day what unconditional love looks like. We’ve been through so much together already big dreams, hard work, quiet nights, and loud laughs. We’ve learned how to fight for each other, how to grow with each other, and how to create a home full of warmth, love, and a little dog hair. From that first ice cream shift at 15 to the life we’re building now, every step has led us here. We can’t wait to see what comes next but if it’s anything like the last four years, we know it’ll be filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of heart.
