How we met

First comes school, then comes marriage!

Caden and I met one night at a bar during college. Looking back, let's just say it was probably a questionable decision for both of us. We danced together that night, but honestly, I wasn't really interested in him at first. Afterward, I took my crew of baseball and golf friends home while he found a different ride. A few days later, during the MLB World Series, I was supposed to be studying in the basement while doing laundry. Out of nowhere, Caden yelled, "Hey, do you want to come hang out with us? We're watching baseball." And really, how could I say no? Who doesn't love baseball? Not long after that, we managed to get ourselves into a little trouble with the school, and life took us in an unexpected direction. We started dating on November 11, 2019, and before long, I transferred to a university in Oklahoma, where Caden lived. From that point on, we built a life filled with adventures, challenges, and unforgettable memories. One of the hardest seasons of my life came in 2023 when my dad passed away shortly after I graduated college. Through every heartbreak, every challenge, and every uncertain moment, Caden never left my side. He became my biggest supporter, my best friend, and the steady presence I could always count on. Over the years, we've traveled together, gone to concerts, fished, hiked, swam, and created countless memories. We've celebrated life's highs and navigated its lows, growing stronger together through it all. Then, on our most recent vacation, after six wonderful years together, Caden got down on one knee at the breathtaking Garden of the Gods and asked me to marry him. Surrounded by one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen, I said yes. Now we're planning our wedding, and I couldn't be happier. I found my forever cowboy, my best friend, and the love of my life—and I can't wait to spend forever with him.
