Together, they loaded up a U-Haul, said goodbye to their hometown, and drove toward the possibilities that awaited them. At the time, Cade and Jordyn were still living in different cities, but that didn’t stop them from staying connected. Their conversations never slowed, and the more they talked, the more they realized the obvious truth—if they lived in the same place, they’d undoubtedly be together. Cade often told Jordyn about all the things that made San Marcos special—the crystal-clear river, the laid-back atmosphere, the energy of the town. But he was firm about one thing: he didn’t want her to move for him. He wanted her to move for herself, for the opportunities and fresh start that San Marcos could give her. In March 2024, Cade and Jordyn set off on their first big trip together—a journey to Costa Rica, but this wasn’t just any vacation. The trip was planned to visit Cade’s longtime friend, Cutter Babcock, who not only lived there at the time but also happened to be the mutual connection that led to Cade and Jordyn meeting in the first place. What started as a simple visit quickly turned into an unforgettable adventure. Costa Rica’s lush rainforests, stunning beaches, and adventurous spirit made for the perfect getaway. Some of their favorite moments included bonfires on the beach, where the sound of crashing waves mixed with the crackle of flames as they danced barefoot in the sand, completely caught up in the moment. They also set out on horseback rides along the shoreline, taking in the breathtaking scenery that felt like something straight out of a postcard. But, as with any great adventure, there were plenty of unexpected and hilarious moments. They spent time feeling completely lost on winding Costa Rican roads, where every turn looked the same, yet somehow, they always made it back. One of their biggest victories? Finding chicken nuggets in a foreign country—a small but crucial win, especially for Jordyn. And to top it all off, Jordyn experienced her first time at a casino, adding a little extra excitement (and a lot of laughs) to the trip. Looking back, Costa Rica wasn’t just their first trip together—it was a full-circle moment. The same friend who unknowingly brought them together was now hosting them as a couple, reinforcing just how meant to be their story truly was. The trip became one of their favorite memories, proving they were not only great together at home but also the perfect travel partners, ready for a lifetime of adventures ahead.

When Jordyn moved to San Marcos, she and Cade took a big step in their relationship: moving in together. She settled into Cade’s one-bedroom apartment, a cozy little space that became the backdrop for their first chapter as a couple. It wasn’t much, but it was theirs—filled with late-night talks, shared routines, and the excitement of building a life together. After some time, they decided they were ready for a bit more room. Upgrading to a two-bedroom apartment felt like the natural next step, giving them space to breathe, work from home, and even host friends. But while the apartment grew, the heart of their home stayed the same—love, laughter, and teamwork. They weren’t originally planning to buy a house—it all started as a fun date. As a realtor, Cade was learning the market, so he and Jordyn started touring homes together just for fun. But then, something unexpected happened. They found a house they loved. Before they knew it, they were putting in an offer. On June 7, 2024, they closed on their first home together. Though Cade already owned rental properties, this one was different—this was their home. By the time Thanksgiving rolled around, Cade knew it was time. Over time, he and Jordyn had built a life full of love, laughter, and shared dreams—from moving in together to buying their first home. Corbin played along, pretending to take pictures while secretly recording the moment. Cade led Jordyn outside, his heart pounding, while she thought they were just posing for some pre-dinner photos. At first, Jordyn was confused. She glanced down at the rose petals, then looked up at Cade, trying to process what was happening. “I kind of blacked out when I saw the rose petals,” she later admitted, laughing.
