Cadarius and Mishy met at an open mic event at the Urban Grind. Mishy was with her best friend Bria, wanting to see someone else perform that night, and Cadarius was there to perform with a couple of his colleagues. During the event's intermission, DJ Tony Dub (who will be the DJ for the wedding reception) asked Mishy to say a poem since she'd recently performed poetry at an event. After listening to her, Cadarius approached Mishy, asking her for her Instagram. They communicated through the app for a day or so before Cadarius gave her his number. From there, their relationship began to unfold, from an 8-hour long walk-and-talk through downtown Chattanooga to them officially becoming a couple on May 18, 2018.
