Our story began freshman year of college the way all modern fairy tales begin with a swipe right! Not exactly a love at first sight moment, but wouldn't change a thing. At the time, we were just two college kids figuring out life in Boston one at Emmanuel College, and the other at Simmons University. Our campuses were only a cross walk away so I'm sure our paths would have crossed, but curiosity, and somewhat decent profile pictures got the best of us. We first met in a good ole dorm room. A little awkward at first, we sat on opposite sides of a futon, unsure of what came next. We got to talking about life like two people who had known each other longer than just a few messages. We were just two nervous freshmen, in a stuffy dorm room, opening up about who we were, what we wanted, and where we were headed. Looking back, that futon might’ve been the most uncomfortable piece of furniture either of us had ever sat on but somehow, we didn’t want to leave. From that day on the rest was history. We talked everyday, supporting each other as we tackled the student athlete life, and grew closer and closer making it official on December 9th, 2018! We’ve grown so much since those days. From freshmen swiping on a whim to partners building a life together, we’ve been each other’s biggest supporters, and forever best friends. Now, years later, we have dived into our careers, added a member to our family (our fluffy bundle of joy Duke) and here we getting ready to say "I do"! We look back on that first swipe and laugh not just because it’s funny, but because it led us here, and we wouldn’t change a thing!
