We're getting married!

Lets take you back in time to May 25th, 2021.. she was focusing on bettering herself, he was comfortable in his solo world, neither looking for (nor opposed to) a relationship. But neither had many friends and they craved some people in their life, but it was still partially covid times where people were nervous to go out, let alone meet in person. Danny mentioned an app called "slowly" to Daniel where virtual pen pals from around the world send "real time" letters to each other. Amanda had remembered a time when she was little, having a real pen pal named Liam so she googled pen pal options and found the app, seemed perfect in such a time so she signed up and created a large bio about herself which she used to send to anyone whose interests aligned with hers. In this app you don't see appearances, just a created avatar 🥸 Amanda liked Daniel's, and enjoyed his simple bio about being a sarcastic pilot so she made the first move. From then on out they would write multiple page letters to each other, reply instantly (since they had to wait multiple hours for it to arrive) and bonded over interests such as history, Spongebob, The Titanic, goofiness and being authentically real. They felt there was something special about each other in some way, and she developed a crush but had some concerns. ONE they hadn't seen each others appearance (try as you may, it matters). TWO he lived in Florida and was a pilot, how would that ever work? THREE they're on a pen pal app, not dating and online.. fishy. They decided to share pictures and to their relief, they were attracted to each other physically too. So on June 20th (his birthday 🎂) she sent a virtual card and admitted her feelings, having the mindset they kept the whole time of YOLO (you only live once) and he responded that he felt the same way! They started talking on Snapchat (messages with a picture), then added videos but those got too long so they moved onto Discord (like calling) and played the game Overwatch together. They were very open, honest and direct with each other so on June 26th he asked her via video chat to be his girlfriend and she somehow said YES. So a few weeks later he got on a plane, she picked him up from the airport (with her friend Kayla, who had a gun 😅) and they went back to her apartment for their "first date" which lasted 3 incredible days. They were just as real in person and the two didn't want to depart. So he continued visiting as much as he could ~once a month, which slowly turned into every other week, and before they knew it he had unofficially moved in. She said I love you after 6 months because she was bursting and knew it'd slip out, and he hadn't.. She was so nervous and he loved it (and blamed that he was saving it for Vday in a few weeks). When her lease was up (about 8 months in) they moved in together and she followed him to Dallas for work since he had gotten into a commercial airline and left teaching it. A year and a half later he followed her to Charlotte. Two years later she followed him to Orlando, and here we are! He'll be following her back to Charlotte in about a year to settle down and start a family ❤️

(I knew he’s had the ring for awhile and a proposal was in the works, but as much as I tried to not be aware, I had some failed attempts at thinking it was happening and was a big mix of emotions. I knew he had it with him, but couldn't figure out when, which is how he wanted it) About a month prior, he asked if I wanted to go to Ale & Compass (at Disney’s Yacht Club resort) for dinner that weekend and I of course said yes. He mentioned wanting to make a short film (he’s always had an itch to try) so he thought we could do a small project about our love, so we’d go early to utilize time there and I could use it for my channel (excuse). So a week prior we go in the morning and he’s a little ominous about details, and I get really nervous that today’s the day! I start taking notes of the entire days events (deleted), we take a bunch of clips of us doing random cute things to tell a story. Then we have dinner and take some night clips, and watch the Epcot fireworks. By this time I know its not happening, and I was exhausted so we go home and he mentions wanting to get a few more on the beach outside his Grandma’s condo another day (we were staying at/stay at frequently). I figured and hoped it may happen then on the beach, before I go back to NC alone for 2.5 months to pack up before the move. So a couple of weeks later, on Feb 8th he says we’ll celebrate Vday on this day and do the recording since it fit the theme (and I was leaving on Vday). We were watching the winter Olympics and figuring out a murder mystery game, but its the time he wanted to record so he’s watching outside for lighting & people, getting irritated that people are on the beach (😂). He said he wasn't recording audio this time which really threw my suspicion, and he wanted a casual outfit so I didn't think it was happening (again). We go down and take some clips, its far too cold to be in summer clothes but we’re making do. No one is around anymore, sun is just behind the condo & the camera is setup perfectly. The last clip is me walking up towards him and we embrace, but he doesn’t let me go and keeps me pinned to him. He says I inspired the project, (I instantly know but stay calm as the waves quiet and I warm) he used our bracelet as inspiration (is morse code for "Ill be back" and "I'll be waiting") of how I kept my promise as did he, calls me his home and says he has a question for me.. I respond that it's the easiest question and he gets down on one knee, and asks me to marry him! I slightly well up and cover my mouth, I shake my energy off and squeal and of course say yes ❤️ After this we talked for a little about my suspicions and how I was right the first time (his family cruise), and reasons he didn’t do it (mood wasn't perfect, complications with outside sources, too public, nerves, etc.) and we went inside. He said he didn’t use a mic so his speech was just for us 🥹 but did send me the script (memorized) so I could remember it all. We got ready for our Valentines dinner, took a couple photos and talked some more. He said he had it for 1.5 years, no one knew when it'd happen and that he got my parents permission prior.
