Reception FAQs

If you have questions other than those listed here, please reach out to Chris or Kendal.
Question

Where are the vow renewal ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The entire event will take place at Stone Brewing Liberty Station, 2816 Historic Decatur Rd, Unit 116, San Diego, CA 92106. We will be celebrating in the Building 12 event space. Enter through the Stone Brewing entrance on 2855 Sims Rd, San Diego, CA 92106. Please note that the entire event will be taking place outdoors. The venue space will have a mix of paved and unpaved flat surfaces so we suggest choosing footwear accordingly. There will be daylight until approximately 8:00pm and the temperature will likely range from 60-70 degrees, so you may wish to bring sunglasses and a light jacket.

Question

Are there any COVID-related guidelines I need to follow?

Answer

In line with the San Diego County guidelines, Stone Brewing does not require guests to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test. We encourage all guests to complete a COVID symptom checker and, if available, a rapid COVID test prior to the event.

Question

What time should I arrive to the vow renewal ceremony and reception?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 4:00pm. If you choose to drive to the venue, we suggest allowing at least 20 minutes for parking as Memorial Day Weekend is one of the busiest weekends of the year at Liberty Station. In the event that you arrive prior to the venue space being open, you are welcome to have a seat in the Stone Brewing Koi Pond Garden.

Question

How should I get to the venue?

Answer

For safety and ease, we suggest using a ride share service (e.g., Uber, Lyft) to arrive to the venue. Carpooling is also a good option, and there is free self-parking throughout Liberty Station. The closest parking spaces to the venue are in the lots at 2797 Truxtun Rd and 2829 Historic Decatur Rd. Stone Brewing does not have a private lot or valet service.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal summer attire. This may include nice sundresses, midi and maxi length dresses, jumpsuits, slacks, button down shirts, and dress shoes. Ties and jackets are optional.

Question

What can I expect for the vow renewal ceremony and reception?

Answer

We will begin the brief vow renewal ceremony shortly after 4:00pm. After this, we will have a refreshment hour with plenty of time for photos with our photographer. The dinner hour will include family toasts, our first dance, and cake cutting. The rest of the evening will be spent dancing, celebrating, and enjoying each other's company!

Question

What beverages and foods are being served?

Answer

We will have a private bar serving beer, wine, and seltzers in the venue space. Drinks are complimentary up to our hosting limit--after the limit is reached, beverages will be available for purchase with card. Beverages will be available at the beginning of refreshment hour and throughout the night. You may wish to bring cash to tip the bartenders that will be serving us throughout the night. In true San Diego fashion, dinner will be a taco bar with plenty of options for fillings, toppings, and sides. We will have vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and dairy free options available. Hors d'oeuvres will be served during refreshment hour.

Question

Can I use my phone to take pictures during the reception?

Answer

A professional photographer will be present throughout the entire event. We ask that phones be silenced and on airplane mode during the vow renewal ceremony. After the ceremony, the photographer will be taking group photos. There will also be a photobooth open after dinner! All photos will be made available to guests after the event.

Question

Is there anything on the calendar for the following day?

Answer

We do not have any formal events planned for Monday, May 30th--however, we would love to see everyone one last time before we head back to Los Angeles! You are welcome to join us at Trolley Barn Park in University Heights from 10:30am-12:30pm for a casual, bring-your-own breakfast picnic. The park is located at 1943 Adams Ave, San Diego, CA 92116.
