We like to say our story started with a tweet, but it quickly became something so much more. Back in 2019, we met on Twitter, not expecting much more than a simple conversation. But that first message led to our very first date, when Adrian picked me up and we went to In-N-Out Burger. What was meant to be a casual night turned into hours of nonstop talking from 8 PM to 1 AM, completely lost in conversation. And even then, neither of us was ready for the night to end. We sat outside my house in his car talking until nearly 4 AM. From the very beginning, everything felt easy, natural, and undeniable. We both knew something about this was different. Not long after, we realized we had found something special in each other. A couple of months later, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, Adrian asked me to be his girlfriend. There were no big reservations or elaborate plans, just a small picnic. But it couldn’t have been more perfect. It was simple, intentional, and full of the kind of love we were already building together. As time went on, our relationship grew stronger, and so did our life together. Two years later, we moved into our first apartment, creating a space that was truly ours filled with laughter, late night talks, and everyday moments that meant everything. One dream we always shared was traveling to Barcelona, especially because of Adrian’s love for FC Barcelona. In May 2025, we finally made that dream happen. What I didn’t know was that this trip would become one of the most important moments of our lives. One day, we had time to explore and planned to visit the beautiful Sagrada Família. That morning, we went out for Mexican food because we were missing home and it was… not great (something we still laugh about). Afterward, we went shopping so I could find a nicer dress, then headed back to the hotel to get ready. I had mentioned wanting photos at the Sagrada Família, so Adrian casually told me he had booked a “cheap photographer.” What I didn’t realize was that he had been planning this moment for months. When we arrived, we met the photographer a couple of streets away, and she directed us into a building. As soon as the elevator doors opened, everything felt different. There was a beautiful setup waiting… and a love song by Ed Sheeran playing softly in the background. In that moment, we both knew what was happening. There were tears, laughter, and so much emotion. We held each other, completely overwhelmed by the love we’ve shared since that very first night. And right there, in a city we had always dreamed of, Adrian asked me to be his wife. Of course, I said yes. Now, here we are getting ready to say “I do” surrounded by the people we love most, continuing a story that started with a single message and grew into a lifetime together. 💍
